Instructions

STEP 1

- Carefully turn the monster head upside down and paint the inside with black gesso. Let dry.

 

- Turn the head right side up and paint the entire outside of the head, including the inside of the eyes and mouth, with black gesso. Let dry.

STEP 2

- Mix equal amounts of Hydrangea Purple and Chalkboard Gray paint together and brush them onto the entire head except for the hair. Let dry.

 

- Mix equal parts of Chalkboard Gray and black gesso together, and use a detail brush to paint in the creases and lines of the face and lips. Use this color to shade areas of his face, such as the cheeks and under the mouth.

STEP 3

- Use a pencil to draw on additional stitch marks across the face.

 

- Use Chipotle and Beetle Black paint and a detail brush to paint over the stitch details.

STEP 4

- Paint his hair with high gloss Beetle Black paint. Let dry.

 

- Brush Americana® Triple Thick Gloss Glaze onto the stitches, under his eyes, and inside his mouth.

STEP 5

- Use a Krylon® silver pen to paint over the staples on his face as well as the bolts in his neck. Let dry.

 

- Place an LED candle inside the head to light.
