  • Paper Plate (or Palette Paper)

Instructions

STEP 1

Squirt a bit of paint onto a paper plate (or palette paper). Use the foam brush to paint your clothespin, then let it dry. Paint a second coat, if desired.

TIP: If you want to use your clothespins as monsters, be sure to squeeze them open a few times as they dry, so that the paint doesn’t seal them shut.

STEP 2

Use paint pens to add details like shoes, hair, scars, scuffs and frayed mummy wrappings. Let the clothespins dry again.

STEP 3

To add spots, dip the flat end of your foam brush in a puddle of paint, then press it onto the clothespin. Repeat until you have as many spots as you like, then let them dry.

STEP 4

Glue on one or two eyes. Be sure to let the glue dry, too.

STEP 5

Once your first monster clothespin is finished, pick a different color and make another.
